MIL-STD-1553  interface module POTOK-3V

POTOK-3V is a three channel complete MIL-STD-1553 interface between a dual redundant MIL-1553 bus and a host processor. The device functions as a programmable Bus Controller, Remote Terminal, and Bus Monitor.

The base area of application of POTOK-3V module are mission critical systems such as automatic and automated control systems of mobile objects (aircrafts, ships, railway and automotive transport and etc), industrial control and data collection systems,  as well as other systems, working in hard environments.

 

  System interface

System interface VMEbus according to ANSI/IEEE STD 1014-1987 (IEC 821 and 297).

Data transfer format VMEbus - A24/D16 User/Supervisor Data.

Programmable VMEbus interrupts levels  - IRQ1..IRQ7.

  MIL-STD-1553 interfaces

Up to 3 dual redundant channel according to MIL-STD-1553A, MIL-STD-1553B and MIL-STD-1760B, based on NHI-1582 Enhanced Terminal Chips, produced by National Hybrid Inc.

Programmable Bus Controller, Remote Terminal, and Bus Monitor modes.

16K words of 16 bit wide RAM buffer per each channel.

Build in interrupt controller with 6 interrupt deep FIFO per channel.

All modes of operation access data tables via pointers residing in RAM which facilitates multiple buffering.

2 variants of MIL-STD-1553 bus connections: Direct Coupling and Transformer Coupling.

Build in  MIL-STD-1553 bus terminator resistors.

  Nonvolatile RAM

POTOK-3V module includes 4 Kbytes nonvolatile RAM, which may be used for collecting critical data to facilitate reset and malfunction recovery procedures.

  Power supply

Power supply voltage +5 V ± 5%.

Power consumption: 3,5 - 6,5 Watt depending on numbers of channels anD operation mode.

DIN 41612 Harbus64-type connector  (5 rows, 160 contacts).

Conduction cooled and rugged versions of this module are also available.
